CPR and First Aid Course Selection Assistance

Please read the following to ensure you are enrolled into the appropriate class.

There are two primary CPR and first aid class types. 
  1. Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR for Healthcare Providers:

    Healthcare Provider and Professional Rescuer level CPR. First aid is usually NOT a required course for healthcare providers and this class does not include first aid training.

    Appropriate for nurses, physicians, pharmacists, EMT, firefighters; respiratory, physical, occupational and other therapists; CNAs and other direct patient care hospital or healthcare workers.


  2. CPR and/or first aid for Community and Workplace: 
Non-healthcare provider level CPR. First aid training is often required with CPR training and is usually offered at the same time. You may choose to attend the CPR portion only.

Appropriate for foster parents, host home providers, daycare and other child care providers, teachers and other staff in educational settings, construction and office workers, personal trainers, non-medical caregivers for the elderly (ie assisted living settings), massage therapists and many more.
