CPR and First Aid for Friends and Family

There are many reasons you may wish to have basic CPR and first aid knowledge. Some of these reasons, including for personal information and to take care of a family member, do not require a certification.

Our CPR and First Aid for Friends and Family series of courses are designed for anyone wanting basic knowledge but not requiring a specific certificate for employment, regulatory or educational reasons. As these classes do not have the textbook and certificate costs that our Heartsaver (certified) series of classes incur, we can offer this training at a significant discount.

This course is also appropriate to teach to children who do not need a certifiate but would benefit from the potentially lifesaving skills this class will provide.

During this class, we will cover many of the following topics:
  • Recognizing an Emergency
  • Calling For Help
  • Assessing a Victim
  • Opening the Airway
  • Breathing
  • Chest Compressions
  • Choking
  • Specific Concerns Surrounding Child and Infant Victims
  • Control of Life-Threatening Bleeding
  • Dealing with Shock
  • ...and much more!
'CPR Party' Option:

We offer this class on-site at homes, schools and businesses. Since this program does not have specific certification requirements, we are able to train groups of parents, friends or others at lower rates than with other classes.

As a special rate, we offer a CPR Party option for this program. For a flat rate of $200 for up to ten people, we will travel to your location and teach you the basics of adult, child, infant CPR and first aid. The cost includes 5 sets of CPR and first aid booklets. You may choose to purchase additional booklets for a nomimal fee.
