FYI:
While you must take this class to administer medications, be aware that
this class alone does not constitute delegation to legally administer
medications. Per the Colorado Nurse Practice Act,
you (or your employer) must establish a relationship with a Registered
Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Colorado. The RN will provide the
legally mandated oversight necessary for you to administer medications.
This does not apply in
family child care settings. No RN delegation is required for family
child care providers.
Cost:
$35
Please
note the following information:
We are unable
to offer an on-line payment discount for this program due to
state-mandated pricing at $35 per person for this program. We may
cancel classes with less than 4 people enrolled, again due to the
state-mandated pricing structure.
This course is
not appropriate for staff in assisted
living centers or other residential facilities; or for anyone intending
to pass medication as an unlicensed person outside the State of
Colorado.
