Cross Pet First Aid
This class is approximately 3 hours and will cover common emergency situations you may face. These situations include providing CPR, controlling bleeding, poisonings, environmental emergencies such as frostbite, hypothermia, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and other emergency situations. Basic emergency care of dogs and cats are included in this class. This class is designed to teach you basic,
interim
steps to follow until professional help is available and does not take
the place of appropriate veterinary care.
Book pricing is not included in the price of this course. The book is available through the American Red Cross for $16.95; a copy will be available for reference during the class. It is not mandatory to purchase a book. Cost: $35 (no book included)
We are currently going through the
approval
process with the American Red Cross to offer this course. We will offer
it in the first quarter of this year (2008).
